Arntzen Corporation produces custom-sized steel core barrels to be used as a piling and foundation tool by underground contractors.
Core barrels are often used in rocky or hard soil conditions when conventional augers won’t do the job. Because it is used as a “spinning drill bit”, it is important for the barrel to be very round, so that it doesn’t wobble or sway as it is being cored into the ground. Arntzen Corporation has the equipment and experience to ensure the roundness of the core barrel.
Typically, a contractor will purchase the core barrel from Arntzen’s and further fabricate it so fit their tooling and needs.
Arntzen Corporation operates pipe mills in 2 locations with 200,000 square ft under roof and 35 acres of additional outdoor storage. With over 17 plate rolls and this large facility, it allows us to carry an immense inventory of steel plate and convert it quickly into a steel casing pipe, resulting in shorter lead times.
